SQUID PISSER have announced a new EP, and the first preview is exactly as strange, loud, and uncomfortable as the name “Mucus” suggests.

The Los Angeles noise-hardcore band will release Throat Slave on August 28 through SKiN GRAFT Records and SWEATBAND Records. Along with the announcement, SQUID PISSER shared the official video for “Mucus,” the lead single from the upcoming release.

The track sits in the band’s messy corner of punk, metal, noise rock, and glitchy hardcore. “Mucus” is short, abrasive, and built around the kind of frantic movement that makes SQUID PISSER hard to place neatly in one box.

Throat Slave follows Dreams of Puke and expands the band’s world with new material, remixes, and added creative input from guitarists Michael Armendariz and Raz Azraai. The EP also features production from Tommy Meehan, with the “Mucus” video directed by Azraai.

The release includes tracks such as “Prison,” “Leeches,” “Mucus,” “Rats,” and “Tumors,” along with remix work connected to artists including Plack Blague, Drumcorps, FARTBARF, HYPER GAL, Ecology: HomeStones, dj Embryonic Petit Sac, and KK Null.
